Thoughts of Love from an Enchanted Mind

People spend their lives searching for someone who would truly care for them and make them feel special- someone whom they would want to spend their lifetime with. There are even some who set high ideals to pick those they think are the best ones that can make them happy. Happiness, as we know it, is a very subjective factor in one's life. Yet, most of us believe that we can never be completely happy in this world until we find that special someone, someone we can grow old with. Although happiness lies in a person's hands, I believe that a substantial part of it will depend upon the choice one takes for a partner. Some of us thought they had found their love but at a certain point, they stumbled and fell together with their broken dreams, become cynical about love. I heard the most sensible preacher of our time read from the Scriptures that to know that something is God-given is when it brings good than harm to you. Applying to what I'm speaking of, how do we know then that our partner is God-given? Then, that person must be bringing good to us like the relationship with that person draws us also closer to Him. There are those with good intentions but are also disenchanted thinking that they deserve no one or that no one is meant for them. He knows what's best for us and all good things come from Him. Therefore, if your partner is someone who brings more harm than good to you, for instance hits you, abuses you, or makes you commit sins, do you think that is the person God wants you to have or is it just you succumbing to your human needs? It's important that though feelings play a part in finding the road leading to "that someone", we must be patient enough and let righteousness guide our paths. Then someday, when our hair turns to gray, in our quiet moments with God, we will praise Him for the days spent together with someone we once have prayed for, found, cherished, and even be at peace to die with- someone who would really make us believe that of all the things that matter, Love is the greatest.

"Do not be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass."

One of the best romantic tales ever written...

“Do you think, because I am plain, obscure and poor, I am heartless and soulless?” –Jane Eyre

I wrote; in the hope that my exuberance be appeased as it finds its way to expression and to disclose the attachment I found in the solace of a book in my possession a week ago. Jane Eyre, it was. The plain, blunt, yet vivacious and affectionate protagonist and heroine of this ‘masterwork of a great genius’, Jane, was a literary figure to be admired and loved for the many simple yet endearing characteristics of her own. And the Byronic hero, Mr. Edward Rochester (Why does every character has to be named Edward??), though eccentric and cold has a character too deep and mystifying yet captivating. It is a love story portraying the love of a married man for another woman told in a drama of passionate intensity (this may sound, at first, at odds with religious doctrines but the author, whom I endear so much because of her use of language and emotional honesty, had preserved the theme of morality). Never had there been a page that slackened my appreciation and taste for a wonderful literary work with a caliber so fine to leave the reader in admiration. For the wordiness, being unnecessary, I leave it to you to determine.

Words from Mr. Edward Fairfax Rochester to Jane:

“Every atom of your flesh is dear to me as my own: in pain and sickness it would still be dear. Your mind is my treasure, and if it were broken, it would be my treasure still: if you rave, my arms should confine you, and not a strait waistcoat – your grasp, even in fury, would have a charm for me: if you flew at me, I should receive you in an embrace, at least as fond as it would be restrictive. I should not shrink you with disgust: in your quiet moments you should have no watcher and no nurse but me; and I could hang over you with untiring tenderness, though you gave me no smile in return; and never weary gazing into your eyes, though they had no longer a ray of recognition for me.”

From the 2006 film of Jane Eyre, the sweet “Because you love” me by Jodee Messina. (If my information is exact, there will be an adaptation for 2009 so I, and if you guys wanna be counted too, we can keep our fingers crossed.)

My thoughts keep wandering as to the unknown possibility of meeting such a fine gentleman. How fortunate that would be! If the entire universe conspires, make his fate and mine intertwine.

Sadako Meets F4?!?

I have loved this anime (Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge) ever since it was first aired on TV5. Very funny. It's about a girl (Sunako) who confessed to a guy that she had a crush on him and was told that she's ugly. From then on, she shunned all forms of beauty. Now, she had an aunt who owns a mansion where four handsome guys live. She and the boys made a deal that if they can turn Sunako into a real lady, they don't have to pay for the 500,000 yen rent but if not, they'll pay for the rent thrice the original amount (if I'm not mistaken). Although changing her appearance could be easy, the problem lies on her attitude.

People think Nakahara Sunako is weird:
1. She has anatomy models as dolls.
2. Halloween is more important than her own birthday or Christmas.
3. She talks about weird stuffs
4. Her nose bleeds everytime she sees beautiful people. She calls them "dazzling creatures".
5. She lives in a very dark room.

but I like her. Her bangs is so kewl.

Bad day...

Today was bad. The weather's sooo warm. You just couldn't stand the heat outside and it's getting hotter and hotter every summer. Worse: Camping dream was gone... *sob* *sob*
But...
No matter how bad this day may have turned out, still glad I had enough reason to s-m-i-l-e :)
It wasn't a bad day after all.
